Centennial Park entertainment pavilion opens
The Borough of Wildwood Crest showcased its newly constructed entertainment pavilion at Centennial Park for the first time over the Fourth of July weekend. The B Street Band, 2U and Bandstand played concerts to large crowds at Centennial Park under great weather conditions.
Freedom Festival this weekend!
An exciting weekend is on tap here in Wildwood Crest!!!
Join us for the annual Fourth of July Freedom Festival, which includes an arts and crafts show during the day and FREE live concerts at night. The evnet is scheduled for Friday-Sunday, July 2-4.
From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, dozens of arts and crafts vendors, as well as food, musicians and other family entertainment, will be on hand at the Gazebo-by-the-Sea area at Rambler Road and Ocean Avenue.
Then, at night, the venue shifts a few blocks north as Wildwood Crest opens its brand-new entertainment pavilion for the first time at Centennial Park at Fern Road and Ocean Avenue for three great FREE all-ages concerts. The schedule is as follows:
Friday – B Street Band, the No. 1 tribute to Bruce Springsteen, 7:30 p.m.
Saturday – 2U, the World’s Second-best U2 Show, 7:30 p.m.
Sunday – Bandstand, dance and party favorites, 7:30 p.m. Spectacular Wildwoods Fireworks Show follows at 10 p.m.
Bring a blanket or a chair. Food will be available.
Wheelin’ The Wildwoods Bike Tour on tap!
The popular Wheelin’ The Wildwoods Family Bicycle Tour is back for another year! Join us as we ride into summer on Father’s Day morning (Sunday, June 20) with our 10-mile bike tour beginning and ending at the Wildwood Crest Pier Recreation Center at Heather Road and Ocean Avenue. Registration begins at 7 a.m., with the ride going off at 8 a.m. During the journey, riders will get to enjoy many scenic areas throughout the Wildwoods, including the beaches, boardwalk, wetlands and countless gorgeous views! Following the ride, there’ll be a fantastic post party featuring food, music and the chaance to win lots of greeat prizes.

Centennial Summer Kickoff Weekend is here!!!
Join us for the Centennial Summer Kickoff Weekend event at Centennial Park (Fern Road & Ocean Avenue) for pair of FREE concerts with the Mango Men Saturday and Parrotbeach Sunday. Both shows, featuring great summer music and lots of Jimmy Buffett, begin at 7 p.m.
You can also buy copies of the Centennial Book (The First Hundred Years …) as well as T-shirts and other Wildwood Crest Centennial items.

This is an exciting time here in Wildwood Crest as 2010 is our Centennial Year!
This summer, the Crest has more special events and programs planned than ever before. Four fantastic festivals for the entire family, FREE live music every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday evening from late June through the end of August, other special events such as our Wheelin’ The Wildwoods Family Bike Ride and the Centennial 5K Beach Race and much more. And don’t forget — the Crest also boasts its beautiful free beach, recently voted the best family beach in New Jersey.

Seafarers Celebration 2009

The Chatterband rocks Wildwood Crest!
Hundreds of people turned out Saturday, Aug. 1, as The Chatterband, one of the Delaware Valley’s most popular dance/party bands, played an outdoor concert under the stars at the Fern Road Fitness Park.
