In a special holiday concert as part of the Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series, the Manhattan Dolls are set to perform 90 minutes of timeless American classics on Thursday, July 4 at 8 p.m. at beachfront Centennial Park, located at Fern Road and Ocean Avenue.
The Manhattan Dolls consist of three former USO gals, each with strong Broadway, television and recording credentials singing everything from boogie woogie, Big Band and the blues to American Bandstand and the great vocal harmonies of the fabulous girl groups of the 1950s and ‘60s. The Manhattan Dolls will also take you on a sentimental journey through the great music of the 1930s and ‘40s. The show blends beautiful ballads with your favorite toe-tapping tunes and, in classic USO style, includes a patriotic set to honor the men and women of our military – a perfect theme for the Fourth of July.
This is a free all-ages show. Attendees should bring a blanket or a chair. The Wildwoods’ Fourth of July fireworks spectacular at 10 p.m. will be visible from the eastern edge of the park.
