Long-running tribute band Storm Front will perform many of the hits of Billy Joel, one of the most famous musicians in rock-and-roll history, on Saturday, Aug. 3 at 7:30 p.m.
Fronted by singer/pianist Mike O’Brien and backed by a talented group of musicians, Storm Front has recreated the sounds of Billy Joel for thousands of fans up and down the East Coast for a number of years. Storm Front strives to play hit and after hit from Billy Joel’s vast musical catalogue with pinpoint accuracy, including such classics as “Movin’ Out,” “My Life,” “It’s Still Rock ‘N Roll To Me,” “Piano Man” and “Scenes From An Italian Restaurant.” Storm Front’s high-energy performance has made the band one of the most popular acts to perform during the Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series year after year.
Saturday’s event is a free all-ages show. Attendees should bring a blanket or a chair.
Centennial Park is located at Fern Road and Ocean Avenue.
The Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series, supported by the Wildwood Crest Tourism Development Commission, consists of live music every Wednesday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Centennial Park through Aug. 31. Other upcoming entertainment includes rhythm and blues with Dogged N Driven on Wednesday, Aug. 7; the sounds of Jimmy Buffett with tribute band Parrotbeach on Saturday, Aug. 10; and classic rock with Ribic’s Cube 3 on Wednesday, Aug. 14.
